Jammu : A grand Tiranga Rally was observed as a part ”Meri Mitti Mera Desh” Campaign to celebrate Independence Day by Jammu Police.
ADGP Jammu Zone Sh Mukesh Singh, IPS flanked by DIG JKS Range Sh Shakti Pathak, SSP Jammu Sh Chandan Kohli, IPS flagged off the Tiranga Rally from CPO through major parts of Jammu City which culminated at PS Bus Stand.
While speaking on the occasion ADGP Jammu Zone said that the main objective of organizing such programme is to bring the sense of brotherhood and nationality aroused among the common masses as a part of Meri Matti Mera Desh under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav so that it inspires one and all to become best performers as citizen of the country, strengthen unity, respect those who protect the country, celebrate our heritage, remove any trace of colonial mindset and make India developed and self-reliant. Besides Police, CRPF, BSF, SSB and people from all walks of life also participated in the rally.
ADGP Jammu Zone Sh Mukesh Singh, IPS encouraged each and every person to individually & collectively take part in Tiranga Rally so that they become law abiding citizens which is must for good governance. Moreover several National flags were also distributed among common masses and school/college students.
The beauty of the function was accentuated by the melodious tunes led by police band. Also in this programme other officers of Jammu Police along with concerned SDPOs/ SHOs/ ICPPs of Jammu District took part in the rally as a part of National Campaign.
