India records 267 new cases of the coronavirus; the number of active cases falls from 3,925 to 3,736

New Delhi, Jun 2: The number of coronavirus infections in India has increased by 267, while the number of active cases has fallen from 3,925 to 3,736 since last Friday, according to data supplied by the Union health ministry.According to the figures updated at 8 am, there have now been two more fatalities, bringing the total death toll to 5,31,874.
The total for the Covid case was 4.49 crore (4,49,91,143), it stated.
According to the health ministry website, the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.81 percent, and the active cases currently make up 0.01 percent of all infections.
4,44,55,533 persons have recovered from the illness, while the case mortality rate has been reported at 1.18 percent.
The statewide COVID-19 immunisation effort has resulted in the administration of 220.66 crore doses of Covid vaccinations in the country thus far, according to the ministry’s website.
