A guy who was uploading videos and images of terrorists killed in the Kokernag encounter while operating a false social media account under the name “Pulwama News” has come to light, the official added. In the seven-day shootout in the Gadore woodland region of Kokernag in the Anantnag district of south Kashmir, two terrorists were killed along with four security forces members, including a colonel, a major, and a deputy superintendent of police. The spokesperson claimed that “this account was created to promote the terrorists’ activities and sow fear among the populace, posing a serious threat to the unity, integrity, and sovereignty of the country.” As a result, he said, a case was filed and an investigation was started. Ashiq Ahmed Khan, a resident of Niloora Khan Mohalla, was detained for engaging in such illegal acts during the course of the investigation. According to the spokeswoman, the situation is still being investigated.
