According to the CBI’s charge sheet, which was submitted to the Special CBI court in Jammu, Singh and Gohar Ahmed were detained while taking Rs. 10 lakh bribe on behalf of Farooq Dar, who was then appointed Special Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir government’s Agriculture and Production Department.According to statement by CBI spokesperson, the complainant was allegedly asked for the bribe in exchange for his assignment and to address departmental problems, including possible promotion. “The private individual (Supplier/Contractor of Agriculture Production Department) (Gohar) was discovered to have acted as middleman for the collecting of bribes during the investigation.
