RAJOURI: SHO Thanamandi, Inspr Hilal Azhar was felicitated for busting an inter-state gang of highway robbers who were involved in 10 highway robbery cases of Jammu district, in a function held here on Saturday. The officer has played an exemplary role while discharging his duties and in coordination with Jammu police the officer acted swiftly and got the recovery of vehicles used for the commission of crime as well as tracked down the accused persons and facilitated their arrest through the concerned police. The accused persons were found to be involved in several cases which include – FIR No 368/2023, FIR No 380/2023, FIR No 430/2023 and FIR No 437/2023 U/S 392 IPC of PS Nagrota; FIR No 110/2023 U/S 392/323/ IPC 4/25 A Act of PS Gangyal; FIR No 88/2023 U/S 457/392/34 IPC of PS Manjakote; FIR No 280/2023 U/S 392/458/34 IPC; FIR No 317/2023 U/S 392/458/34 IPC of PS Domana; FIR No 149/2023 U/S 392 of PS Vijaypur and FIR No 239/2023 U/S 392 IPC of PS Jajjar Kotli. For his dedication and devotion towards his duties the officer has been granted Commendation Certificate Class-I along with cash reward of Rs 10,000 by the Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone Jammu, Anand Jain. This certificate was presented today on by Dr Haseeb Mughal, DIG RP Range in presence of Addl SP Rajouri Vivek Shekhar, DySP Hqr Muddasir Ahmed and Sunil Kumar Dhar Pvt Secy to DIG RP Range and other staff members of RPHQ Rajouri. DIG while complimenting the officer on his achievement commented that timely reward for the good work by the Department is going to inspire many field officers for the better performance in coming days. He thanked the IGP for acknowledging and rewarding the field officers for their good work.
