JAMMU: Avny Lavasa, DC Jammu conducted on the spot inspection of the arrangements for Independence Day 2023 celebration at M.A Stadium.The DC asked about the invitation cards, barricading at the function site, traffic control, seating arrangements, full dress rehearsal, decoration, PAS, power and water supply, sanitation, Medicare facilities, and other crucial problems. The concerned officers also found a parking place and provided information on security and police deployment. She instructed them to plan the National event with no room for error in advance. The recommendation of commentators for the event as well as the Public Address System, Media Coordination for Appropriate Coverage, and Shehnai Vadan arrangements were requested of the Joint Director of Information.On the day of the I-Day celebrations, the DC gave the Jammu Municipal Corporation and PHE instructions to provide enough drinking water at the location. The JPDCL and PHE agencies were instructed to handle energy and water appropriately, including delivery through water tankers at the venue, after taking stock of other amenities. The CMO was requested to send out a group of medical professionals, including paramedics, along with sufficient ambulances and medical facilities. The Deputy Commissioner gave the Officers specific instructions to make sure that all necessary preparations were made in advance and to work closely together to ensure that the Fourth of July festivities went off without a hitch.Commissioner JMC Rahul Yadav, ADC L&O Harvinder Singh, Joint Director of Information Atul Gupta, ADC(ADM) Sandeep Seointra, Deputy Director of Information Dr. Vikas Sharma, as well as representatives from the departments of Police, Security, Jal Shakti, Health, Sports and Youth Affairs, were present at the meeting.
