NEW DELHI, Feb 15: Due to age and health concerns, former Congress president Sonia Gandhi announced to the people of her Uttar Pradesh seat, Rae Bareli, on Thursday that she would not be running for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The 77-year-old also hinted at a potential admission of a member of her family from the Rae Bareli segment in an emotional greeting to the members of the part she has represented since 2004. I have always tried my best to keep your trust, and I am glad to say that you are the reason I am who I am today. I shall not run in the upcoming Lok Sabha election due to health and age concerns,” she stated in the message.
