Country touching new heights of progress: PM Modi
NEW DELHI: On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that the nation was reaching unprecedented levels of prosperity and that, with the blessings of the people, its path towards "inclusive and all-round" development will continue. Before the Parliamentary Budget Session began, Modi attacked opposition lawmakers who "habitually" obstructed proceedings. "Those who consistently cause disruptions and undermine democratic principles—all of these honourable Members of Parliament—must undoubtedly reflect on their past ten years of service during this final session of Parliament," the prime minister declared. "I firmly believe that the nation is progressing and reaching unprecedented heights... the nation is undergoing inclusive and all-encompassing development," he declared. "Once the new government is formed, we will present a comprehensive budget in accordance with tradition," Modi declared. The final session of the current Lok Sabha, the Budget Session, starts on Wednesday with a speech to a joint sitting by President Droupadi Murmu.
