New Delhi, Jan 28: Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal stated on Sunday that the administration is dedicated to working with the courts to improve the nation’s justice system. Speaking at a function held in honour of the Supreme Court‘s Diamond Jubilee celebrations in this city, Meghwal added that the government was focusing on enhancing the judiciary’s digital infrastructure and that the court had emerged as a pioneer in virtual hearings worldwide. According to the minister, high courts in more than 40 nations base their decisions on rulings rendered by the Indian Supreme Court.In front of Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he declared, “We are committed to creating a better justice ecosystem through the whole of government approach with the cooperation of the judiciary.” He claimed that although the nation’s top court heard over a lakh cases via video conference, approximately three crore cases were heard electronically. Meghwal wished that the Supreme Court would always remain the guardian of the Constitution and the temple of justice, or “nyay ka mandir.”
