NEW DELHI: During a protest in the Parliament grounds on Tuesday, Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar expressed his disapproval of Trinamool Congress suspended MP Kalyan Banerjee’s impersonation of him, calling it “ridiculous” and “unacceptable.” Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, was seen filming the Trinamool MP with his phone while Kalyan Banerjee, along with other suspended MPs, were seen imitating the Vice President during the protest at Parliament’s Makar Dwar. Following the adjournment of the House, Dhankhar noted the incident and stated, “Office of Chairman, Rajya Sabha and Office of Speaker is very different.” The House reconvened at noon. The 13 members who had been removed earlier and the suspensions made up the largest group of members ever removed from the Indian Parliament.
