AMRITSAR, Nov 14: On Monday, the Border Security Force (BSF) in the Ferozepur District of Punjab intercepted another drone that was allegedly flying from Pakistan into Indian territory, close to the village of Tindi Wala. “In accordance with the established protocol, BSF soldiers promptly intervened to avert the smugglers’ mishap,” the BSF stated. Drones that were being used by drug smugglers and recovered by the BSF from Punjab across the Pakistani border have been found on numerous occasions. Sunday saw the BSF locate a quadcopter drone manufactured in China in the Punjabi village of Bharopal, Amritsar.
“BSF and Punjab Police foiled another attempt by smugglers to smuggle drugs via drone,” the BSF, which is in charge of policing the 3,323-kilometer border between India and Pakistan that runs through the Indian states of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh, said. A combined team from the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police found a drone in the Nesta village of Amritsar, Punjab, on Sunday in a similar incident.
