DODA: Democratic Progressive Azad Party Chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad stated that DPAP is the only party with a clear development strategy and will continue to work towards resolving all issues of concern to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking to a sizable crowd at Bulandpur in the Assar area of Doda district today, Azad said, “Whether it’s smart metres, ration curtailment, land eviction, electricity and potable water problems, DPAP has only one agenda which is to strive hard for redressal of all grievances of general masses of Jammu and Kashmir.”Azad reminded Chenab region inhabitants that DPAP stands for development and advancement of the public in Jammu and Kashmir by reminding them of his brief two and a half year time as chief minister. On the third day of his trip of the Chenab region, Azad stated, “What sets us (DPAP) apart is our ideology and agenda of development without any bias and prejudice of religion or region. Azad made it clear that only those who work at the grassroots level in the DPAP rather than hankering for positions will survive and grow by emphasising discipline and dedication among party members.”The DPAP’s guiding principle is to promote community welfare at all levels. Since accountability is the foundation of our existence in the political realm of J&K, there is no space for apathetic leaders and employees, he reaffirmed. The former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir emphasised the grant of rights on land, jobs, and resources and stated that the DPAP, if elected, would ensure that residents of Jammu and Kashmir would receive their fundamental rights, which are very important to them, back and would reverse the choices on these important subjects to the people.Due to its border location and landlocked status, Jammu and Kashmir’s young lack employment opportunities. In addition, the region’s economy suffered greatly during the 33 years of terrorism, making it difficult for residents to maintain their standard of living. Leaders from the DPAP, including Vice Chairman GM Saroori, General Secretary Abdul Majid Wani, District President Asif Gattu, Zonal President PR Manhas, Senior DPAP Leader Ramesh Parihar, and others, also spoke to the crowd.
