SRINAGAR, Aug 1: The NIA on Tuesday conducted raids at nine locations in Jammu and Kashmir in an NGOs terror funding case.According to sources who also said that the raids were still going on, searches were made at the homes of suspected parties connected to the investigation, which resulted in the discovery of some documents pertaining to financial transactions.
The case involves the gathering and transfer of monies on behalf of separatist and terrorist organisations by a number of NGOs, trusts, societies, and organisations in order to support secessionist and terrorist actions in Kashmir.
The anti-terror agency also carried out operations at Sonwar Bagh in Srinagar on March 27 in relation to the matter.
A person connected to the case was the target of the raid.
