SRINAGAR, Jul 16: LG Sinha dedicated the 28th edition of ‘Awaam Ki Awaaz’ programme to the local people and all the stakeholders engaged in the holy Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.He conveyed his gratitude to everyone who is devotedly and selflessly working to make the pilgrims’ spiritual journey to Shri Amarnath Ji a pleasant one.
“The spiritual odyssey represents the culture of generosity and compassion for everybody. This reverent Yatra motivates us to create a prosperous future for Jammu and Kashmir that is grounded in social equality, human decency, and justice, the Lt Governor added.In highlighting the significant decisions made by the UT Administration, the Lt. Governor stated that the administration prioritises the needs of the poor, disadvantaged, and deprived and makes every effort to meet those requirements and improve their quality of life.
“The J&K Administration is committed to working for the welfare of the underprivileged and vulnerable groups in society. The ambitious plan to give land to those who are landless and a house under PMAY will improve quality of life and give marginalised people more authority, according to the Lt. Governor.Poor people’s access to food security is one of our fundamental civilizational ideals. He continued that the Prime Minister’s Food Supplementation for Priority Households Scheme would help a significant portion of society and assure their wellbeing.
The Lt. Governor urged everyone in society to be watchful against those who mislead people and work against the interests of the underprivileged.”People shouldn’t let the past hold them captive. To create a glorious future for J&K UT, we must join the transformational adventure already underway. Youth are our best chance for a flourishing J&K, and all branches of the government must cooperate to give them the support they need, according to him.
The Lt Governor presented the inspiring success tales of the creative and pioneering youth of Jammu and Kashmir in this month’s episode.
Shakir Ahmad, Adnan Mushtaq, and Furqan Rashid, students from GHSS Kreeri in Baramulla who designed an Apple Grader and are encouraging others to follow their goals, were singled out for particular mention by the Lt Governor.When I watch young boys and girls working enthusiastically on new inventions, he continued, “I feel proud.”
There are moments when the unknown and a new route fill us with fear. The Lt Governor noted that by overcoming their fear, J&K’s youth are forging a road to success and writing their own fates through entrepreneurship.
Safina Mushtaq of Baramulla, who chose to become an agri-entrepreneur after completing her schooling, is one of these role models. She began with mushrooms and afterwards expanded into flower seedling and protected gardening. According to the Lt Governor, she carved out a successful career in agribusiness with her zeal.He claimed that a young man from Reasi named Sandur Kumar is an outstanding example of a prosperous agri-entrepreneur. He has now combined three different business sectors—mushroom farming, beekeeping, and dairy—into one sustainable company strategy. He continued, “The real force behind J&K’s faster growth is such strength, determination, and grit.”
A post-graduate in diplomacy, law, and commerce, Peerzada Muqeem recognised the enormous commercial potential of dairy farming. The Lt Governor claimed that Peerzada Muqeem is writing his own success narrative using a milk processing factory and long-term ambitions.The Lt Governor instructed the concerned departments to take appropriate action after sharing the recommendations of voice artist Shruti Arora from Jammu, GR Ahangar from Srinagar, Rajendra Prasad, Sumit Puri, and Rajeshwar Singh from Jammu, and Muneeb Mushtaq from Anantnag regarding promotion of voice artists and ghazalists in J&K, public participation in urban governance, Inclusive SMART City, and community participation.On increasing the role of Panchayati Raj Institutions in SMART villages and promoting Textile Art in Jammu and Kashmir, he also voiced the inputs from Jammu’s Loviesh Kumar, Mudasir Ahmad Mir from Shopian, Veena Jamwal from Samba, and Preeti Sharma, a textile artist.
