Srinagar, July 14: EOW of CB Kashmir on Friday produced a chargesheet in the court of Passenger Tax Srinagar against 19 accused persons involved in fake and forged appointment orders in the police department.In case FIR No. 48 of 2015 before the Court of Passenger Tax Srinagar, the EOW issued a charge report against 19 accused individuals for their participation in the conduct of offences punishable under sections 420, 468, 120-B, and 201 RPC, according to a statement.
A complaint was filed with Crime Branch Kashmir alleging that some people had been assigned to the J&K Police (District Srinagar) on the basis of forged and bogus appointment orders.
As a result, an inquiry was launched after the present complaint was filed in 2015 at Police Station Crime Branch Kashmir (now Economic Offences Wing, Srinagar).It has been determined throughout the investigation that the appointment orders were issued following record tampering and in flagrant violation of the established standards and procedures.
According to the statement, the aforementioned actions of the accused people have proven cheating, fraud, and forgery (offences punishable under U/Ss 420, 468, 120-B, and 201 RPC).
The statement continued, “Therefore, the Case’s investigation was closed as “proven” against 19 accused persons and the charge-report thereof has been produced before the Court for judicial judgement.
