Rains lash J&K, MeT predicts more

SRINAGAR : A meteorological department official said,  Rains lashed J&K even as weatherman on Saturday forecast more precipitation. “Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are expected at many locations throughout J&K over the next 24 hours.”He said, “Some periods can be heavy, particularly in Kathua district. According to him, J&K was expected to see periodic light to moderate rain on July 23. He predicted partly to mostly overcast weather for July 24–25. “There’s a chance of a light downpour in certain spots. From July 26 through July 28, no notable change is anticipated. He stated that the cities of Srinagar (8.6mm), Qazigund (25.8mm), Pahalgam (10.1mm), Kupwara (00mm), Gulmarg (4.4mm), Jammu (0.2mm), Bhaderwah (5.6mm), and Batote (3.8mm) all recorded rainfall in the previous 24 hours up until 830 today. According to him, the lowest temperatures today were 19.4 degrees in Srinagar, 25.8 degrees in Qazigund, 16.0 degrees in Pahalgam, 18.6 degrees in Kupwara, 17.7 degrees in Kokernag, 13.5 degrees in Gulmarg, 26.3 degrees in Jammu, 18.7 degrees in Banihal, 19.5 degrees in Batote, 24.6 degrees in Katra, and 19.1 degrees in Bhaderwah.
