SRINAGAR: Four employees, including the president of the Doctors Association of Kashmir (DAK), were fired by the Jammu & Kashmir administration for their involvement in activities related to terrorism and anti-national sentiment. A doctor, a police officer, a teacher, and a lab bearer in the higher education department were among the people let go, according to sources. The UT administration fired them by citing Indian Constitution section 311(2)(c), which gives it the authority to do so without conducting an investigation. The dismissals include Dr. Nissar-ul-Hassan (doctor), Salam Rather (laboratory bearer in the department of Higher Education), Abdul Majeed Bhat (constable), and Farooq Ahmad Mir (teacher), according to official sources.According to officials, this is a part of the UT administration's fight against the terrorist ecosystem and its major players, who were previously covertly incorporated into the political system by various political regimes. Over the course of the last three years, the Union Territory administration has fired over fifty employees for their involvement in terrorist and anti-national activities, invoking Section 311(2)(c) of the Indian Constitution. JAMMU: The resolution of all land issues related to the expansion of Jammu Airport has been accomplished, which is a noteworthy achievement. Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner, presided over a meeting today and gave the Airport Authority Jammu the go-ahead to start the eagerly anticipated project. It was disclosed during the meeting that the Airport Authority already possesses the majority of the necessary land. There was pending land at Belicharna with a few animal husbandry structures on it. The remaining buildings on the undeveloped land are now empty, according to the Director of Animal Husbandry, clearing the path for the efficient completion of the work. The Divisional Commissioner directed the Director of Animal Husbandry to formally transfer the remaining land to the Airport Authority in order to guarantee the smooth implementation of the esteemed project.Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya of Jammu, Director Shubhra Sharma of Animal Husbandry, Director S K Garg of Airport, and other relevant officers attended the meeting. Earlier, the Divisional Commissioner used video conferencing to preside over a meeting of Deputy Commissioners to discuss the revision to the stamp duty rates. In order to finalise the revised stamp duty rates on immovable property, he gave the Deputy Commissioners instructions to call meetings of District Level Committees and submit proposals to the Divisional Level Committee. Attending the meeting were officers from the Forest Service, the Revenue Department, the Chief Engineer of Irrigation, DC Stamps, Director of Agriculture, and other relevant departments. Doda bus accident: Owner booked for negligence as investigation unfolds

DODA: Due to the owner of the Assar accidental bus not adhering to the proper procedures and traffic regulations, Doda Police has filed a booking against the bus owner. On November 15, 2023, this unfortunate bus, which was travelling from Kishtwar to Jammu, had an accident at Trungal Assar that resulted in the deaths of 39 passengers and the injuries of 17. At Police Station Assar, a case FIR No. 21/2023 U/S 279/337/304-A IPC was filed, and an investigation has been conducted. In order to conduct a daily investigation into the case and determine the cause of the accident, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has also been established, led by Dy. SP DAR Doda and overseen by Addl. SP Hqrs. Doda.The owner of this unfortunate bus, Dheeraj Gupta S/o Kundan Lal Gupta R/o Narwal Pain Satwari Jammu, has been arrested by the police during the course of the investigation for failing to adhere to the proper protocols and traffic laws. The SIT established to look into the case is currently conducting additional investigation and reviewing every facet of it. SRINAGAR, Nov 21: The minimum temperature in Kashmir fell below freezing on Tuesday, and heavy fog caused delays to flights at Srinagar International Airport. The cold wave continued to worsen in the region. According to a meteorological department official, Srinagar city recorded a low of minus 1.2 degrees Celsius on Monday night, while Shopian in south Kashmir recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the valley at minus 3.9 degrees. According to the official, it was the coldest night in the majority of the valley, including Srinagar City.According to him, the minimum temperature at Gulmarg ski resort was minus 0.6 degrees Celsius, while Qazigund, the town that serves as the entry point to Kashmir, recorded a low of minus 0.8 degrees Celsius. According to the official, Pahalgam, the starting point for the yearly Amarnath yatra, saw a low of minus 2.9 degrees Celsius, while Pulwama saw a low of minus 2.7 degrees. There are calls for schools up to primary classes to be closed due to the significant decrease in the minimum temperature. The Jammu and Kashmir Private Schools Association requested in a statement on Monday that the administration declare winter break for lower grades. Most of Kashmir was covered in a thick layer of fog, which made morning traffic difficult.Monday and Tuesday morning flights have been delayed due to fog. Early in the day, visibility is still poor, according to an Airport Authority of India official. Govt repatriates Dulloo to J&K UT cadre

JAMMU: According to a Personnel Ministry order, the government returned senior IAS officer Atal Dulloo to his cadre in the Union Territories on Monday. As secretary of the Department of Border Management under the home ministry, Dulloo is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Union Territories, or Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory cadre, having joined in 1989. On the Ministry of Home Affairs' request, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved his return to his parent cadre, the statement stated. According to officials, he is expected to be named Jammu and Kashmir's chief secretary. Arun Kumar Mehta, the chief secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, is scheduled to reach the age of sixty this month and retire. 2-kg IED found planted by terrorists in Kishtwar; defused

KISHTWAR: On a road in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, a two-kg improvised explosive device (IED) was discovered planted by suspected terrorists on Monday night, according to officials. The experts then defused the IED, preventing a potential terror attack in the hill district, according to the officials. They claimed that an IED that had been planted on the side of the Kishtwar-Batote national highway was discovered by an Army and Police patrol party working together. According to the officials, a bomb disposal squad was called in and the highway's traffic was immediately stopped. The explosive material was later safely defused. They said that after filing a case, a search was initiated to find the terrorists who planted the IED.
