Div Com reviews land issues for Development of Industrial Estates in districts
JAMMU: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar examined today the Industries & Commerce Department's land-related concerns as well as the creation of Industrial Estates in the Districts. The Div Com thoroughly examined the land acquisition process for industrial estates in every district of the Jammu division, as well as the obstacles that the departments of the stakeholders were facing. It was advised that every district has land designated for the construction of industrial estates. The Div Com requested that representatives from the Industries department visit districts to verify the viability of the designated land.In addition to the progress made in resolving the land-related issues, trite discussions were held regarding the development of new estates and the augmentation of existing ones. Each case's current status was reported to the Div Com by the concerned Deputy Commissioner. It was advised that the majority of the problems have been fixed and that the remaining ones will be done so shortly. DCs were instructed by the Div Com to work with the Industries Department to resolve the outstanding land issues. In order to seek coordination for timely issue resolution, the Industries Department employees were also asked to maintain communication with DCs and revenue officers.The Department of Commerce gave DCs instructions to draw boundaries on the designated land and turn it over to the Industries and Commerce Department so that Industrial Estates could be established. Resolving the land issues for the approach roads to the sites was another directive given to the DCs. In order to create a supportive environment for the establishment of new industries, the Div Com urged the District Administration and relevant departments to take proactive measures in advance. It was requested of the Deputy Commissioners to create development plans for industrial estates in their individual districts. The Division Committee emphasised the necessity of creating industrial parks in each of the division's districts.Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma of Samba, MD SIDCO/SICOP of Inderjeet, Director Industries of Arun Manhas, Chief Engineers of JPDCL of Jal Shakti, DFO Social Forestry, Assistant Commissioner Central, and other Deputy Commissioners participated in the meeting via video conference, as did concerned officers.
