Punjab gangster Sukha Duneke, close aide of Khalistani terrorist Arsh Dalla, killed in Canada

NEW DELHI: According to numerous local and worldwide media sources, notorious Punjabi criminal Sukhdool Singh aka Sukha Deneke, who was a part of the anti-Indian Khalistan movement, was shot and killed in Winnipeg, Canada. Sukha allegedly used fraudulent passports to flee to Canada in 2017 and join the terrorist group Arsh Dalla from Khalistan. Sukha was thought to be to the right of Dalla, a terrorist on the National Investigation Agency's (NIA) wanted list. The incident occurs at a time when India and Canada's bilateral relations have reached an all-time low due to the death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a second declared Kahlistani terrorist. India has been charged by Canada with being involved in the murder of Nijjar in early June of this year. Two hooded assailants shot and killed Nijjar in the Surrey parking lot of the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara. In 2020, Delhi labelled him as a terrorist. Justin Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada, accused New Delhi of being involved in the death of Nijjar in June and dismissed an Indian diplomat earlier on Monday. In a tit-for-tat response, India called the accusations "absurd and politically motivated" and ordered the head of the Canadian intelligence services' India post to leave the country in five days. The Canadian government has also amended its travel advice for its residents, advising them to avoid travelling to Punjab, Manipur, and Jammu and Kashmir if at all possible.In reaction, India issued a warning and urged its residents in Canada to proceed with the utmost caution in light of the rising number of "politically-condoned" hate crimes committed against Indian people and diplomats in Canada. Curiously, Dala was listed among the criminals and Khalistani terrorists based in Canada on the most recent NIA list. Along with other names, the list released by the NIA also contains Goldy Brar and Lakhbir Singh Linda. Linda is a notorious Khalistani terrorist who was responsible for the Punjab RPG incident. CB files chargesheet against cheat for duping job seekers

JAMMU: An official said that the Jammu and Kashmir Crime Branch on Wednesday filed a charge sheet against a guy from Kathua for defrauding young people out of thousands of rupees on the pretence of getting them jobs with the government. According to a Crime Branch official, Sher Ali, of the Marheen tehsil, was charged with defrauding the complainant and other unemployed youth of Rs 5.50 lakhs. According to him, a 104-page charge sheet was presented in court for review by the judge. On the basis of a written complaint submitted by Manzoor Ahmed, a case was opened against Ali. He claimed that Ali had ensnared him and other unemployed young people by pretending to be a powerful person who would place them all in jobs with the MES (Military Engineering Services), the railway, or banks. According to the spokesperson, the accused defrauded the complaint and other victims after amassing large sums of money from them under this pretence. According to the spokesman, a preliminary investigation was started after the charges were found to be prima facie true. A case was then filed for a thorough investigation. It was determined that the accused committed fraud against the complainant and other unemployed youngsters after the relevant record was seized, witness statements were recorded, and other material evidence was acquired, he added. The case was filed with the Court of Law as FIR No. 55/2023 U/S 420 /RPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu. After convincing the victims that he was a powerful person, the scammer promised to find them government employment in the MES, Railway, or Bank. According to the complainant, the accused Sher Ali convinced them that he was a powerful person who could obtain them all jobs in the MES (Military Engineering Services), railway, or bank. Under this guise, the accused defrauded the complaint and other victims of substantial sums of money. According to a handout published by the Crime Branch, the claims were prima facie proved after a preliminary verification was launched following the receipt of the complaint. The case was then registered for a thorough investigation. Scientific, circumstantial, and other material evidence was gathered, pertinent records were seized, witness statements were recorded in accordance with sections 161 of the Criminal Procedure Code and 164 of the Criminal Code, and cheating offences against the accused for seducing the complainant and other unemployed youth victims under the pretence of setting up government jobs have been established. Fraudster treated patient for 3 days in Srinagar’s major maternity hospital

SRINAGAR: In Srinagar's Government Lal Ded Hospital, a guy posing as a doctor is reported to have examined female patients for the past three days. According to Deputy Superintendent of Hospital Dr Mimoona, the impostor was caring to patients in the hospital's extremely private labour suite, usually writing prescriptions for ECGs. She stated that the impostor had been given to the police. It is exceedingly challenging to understand how this bogus doctor entered the hospital's labour area among a big crowd of patients and visitors, the speaker claimed.According to Dr. Mimoona, this fraudulent doctor was caught yesterday ordering an ECG for every patient in labour and identifying himself as a cardiologist from the Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital in Srinagar. We called the security person of Jammu and Kashmir Police who were on duty and they took him to the control room where doctors remain who always question." She claimed that they had taken him away. Home Department rejects licenses of arms and ammunition dealers

JAMMU: The Home Department of the J&K Government rejected the application for an Arms and Ammunition Dealers Licence on Tuesday after concluding that it lacked merit and should not have been granted to Sanjeev Singh and Aditya Bhargav. According to a related order, the Home Department had received numerous requests for the issuance of new Sale and Keep Licences from the relevant District Magistrates prior to the publication of the Arms Rules, 2016, in this respect.The document continued, "These proposals were examined in accordance with the Arms Rules, 1962, which were in effect at the time, and it was decided that the decision on granting any new Sale and Keep Licence shall be taken only after analysing the number of existing/functional shops in the District and the number of fresh cases, in which applicants have applied for grant of Sale and Keep/Repair licence as would be obtained from the District Magistrates. Sanjeev Singh and Aditya Bhargav filed a writ petition in the High Court while the matter was being looked into by the Home Department, and that petition was dismissed on November 17, 2016, with instructions to the respondents Sanjeev Singh and Aditya Bhargav to give the matter consideration in accordance with the rules. The ruling further said that the petitioners misrepresented the facts before the High Court by failing to bring the altered legal situation regarding the issuing of the arms licence to the attention of the Court's attention. In the end, Sanjeev Singh and Aditya Bhargav's application for an arms and ammunition dealers licence was denied by the Home Department. PDD employees to go on protest leave for 48 hrs from 25 Sept

JAMMU: Power employees have made the decision to take a 48-hour protest leave starting on September 25 in response to what they perceive to be the Government's lack of commitment towards their demands. This was stated to the media on Tuesday by Sachin Tickoo, head of the Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association of the Power Development Department. He bemoaned the lack of noticeable progress on any of the issues mentioned in the protest leave notice delivered on August 24, 2023, and following the holding of a 24-hour mass protest casual leave on September 9 with participation from Junior Engineers to Chief Engineers and support from several associations of PDD in solidarity with JKEEGA."The Government has not kept its promises. The problem has developed over the past two months as salaries have also not been paid on schedule, leaving all 21,000 PDD employees without their August salaries, which only serves to fuel employee anger. Tickoo claimed that the PDD engineers were given step-motherly treatment by the appropriate authorities because there were over 750 open positions in the engineering hierarchy, including one Managing Director position, three Executive Director positions, six Chief Engineer positions, sixteen Superintending Engineer positions, 61 Executive Engineer positions, 132 Assistant Ex Engineer positions, 164 Assistant Engineer positions, and approximately 350 Junior Engineer positions.Other PDD employee leaders present at the press conference included Gurmeet Singh of the JKNGEEA, Tarun Gupta of the Provincial Power Employees Union, Ashiq Hussain of the Lineman and Workers Union, H D Singh of the Technical Employees Federation, Akhil Kumar of the PDL/TDL and other workers' Union. They gave unwavering support to the JKEEGA's call for a 48-hour period of total protest and a 48-hour period of no labour. Groom, his father booked for failing to turn up on reception

SRINAGAR: Due to their absence from the wedding last week, the groom and his father were detained by police on Tuesday in the Awantipora neighbourhood in south Kashmir. The reception was set to take place on September 16 in Kandizal village, which is 2 km from Awantipora town, according to the bride's family. The bride's family, on the other hand, filed a police station complaint against the groom and his family after they decided not to attend. In response to the complaint, police detained the groom and his father on Tuesday."Residents of Kandizal Awantipora stated that their wedding reception was scheduled on September 16, 2023, with Fayaz Ahmad Dar, after performing the Nikah earlier," a police spokesperson said in a statement. "Police Station Awantipora received a written complaint from one Shazia Akhter against Fayaz Ahmad Dar and his father Mohammad Shahban Dar son of Gh. Qadir Dar." According to the statement, the groom's family cancelled the celebration at the last minute under the pretence that he had fled and would not attend by disputing the Nikah that had been performed previously. "Upon receiving this information, Police took cognizance of the situation and filed FIR No. 182/2023 against the groom and his father in Police Station Awantipora in accordance with the applicable legal provisions. ADGP Mukesh Singh appointed ITBP IG for 5 years

JAMMU: According to the Union Home Ministry, Jammu Zone additional Director General of Police, Mukesh Singh was appointed as the Inspector General of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) on a temporary basis on Tuesday. The appointment of Singh, an IPS officer from the AGMUT cadre and a member of the 1996 batch, will last for five years from the time he assumes responsibility or until further orders, whichever comes first, according to the order. On August 14, 2019, Singh was appointed the new Inspector General of Police for the Jammu Zone. On January 20, 2021, Singh received a promotion to the position of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP). According to Sanjeev Kumar, assistant secretary for home affairs at the Ministry of Home Affairs, the ADGP of Jammu was appointed as the IG of the ITBP on a temporary basis. Kumar requested that the officer be promptly relieved so that he may begin his new responsibilities at the centre. Governor assessed current projects and the rollout of Central and UT Schemes in the Ganderbal District. The Lt Governor noted that private parties are important participants in any region's economic development. He requested that the district administration help potential investors by way of the Industry Help Centre and help locals build up cold storage facilities. The Lt. Governor gave the officials instructions to make sure that the district's youth are involved in the government's self-employment and livelihood creation plans and programmes in light of the developments under various youth-oriented and employment generation programmes.He suggested that a thorough district employment plan be put into action.
