JAMMU: Police in Jammu District asserted that by apprehending two locals and two residents of Uttar Pradesh, all 11 unsolved cases of chain snatching that had been filed within the jurisdiction of the Jammu South and Jammu North sectors, respectively, had been conclusively resolved. These arrests, according to SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli, were the result of thorough operations carried out by the hardworking police teams of many police stations.He claimed that the chain theft binge, which had affected Jammu South neighbourhoods such as Sainik Colony, Greater Kailash, Satwari, Trikuta Nagar, and Gangyal, had a particular pattern that had the police investigating the chain snatching incidents interested. He claimed that special teams were stationed in several locations and that they examined CCTV footage, paying close attention to the snatchers' motorcycles in particular. The arrest of the snatchers at Trikuta Nagar, where they had earlier stolen a chain from a woman before being cornered and apprehended, marked the beginning of the end for the thieves, according to him. The accused, who were allegedly responsible for five further thefts, were named as Dharminder Kumar and Ram Sevak and were natives of Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, according to the police officer.
