Security Forces Launch Search Ops In Poonch After Suspicious Movement

Jammu, Jan 15: Following reports of suspicious activity in the region, the security forces began search operations in many villages in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, according to officials on Monday. They added that sniffer dogs and aircraft surveillance were employed in the search operations, which were conducted in the Sawjian districts of the Mandi tehsil. According to the officials, search operation was in progress to find the terrorists who had opened fire on convoy of Army vehicles on Friday in the Poonch villages of Krishnagati, Dharti, Dhara, Magnad, and Jallas. The location is heavily forested, and the army are combing it with sniffer dogs and aircraft surveillance, they said.
