SRINAGAR, Jan 4: Thursday marked the start of the second day of the anti-terror operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district as security forces carried out search and rescue efforts to find terrorists who had engaged in a brief gunfight the previous evening. According to a police official, search operations are ongoing even though there hasn’t been any new firefight. He said that on Wednesday night, following the establishment of a cordon and search operation in the area by law enforcement, an encounter occurred between security forces and terrorists at Hadigam village.(Agencies)
