SRINAGAR, Feb 27: On March 7, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to travel to Kashmir, according to official sources on Tuesday. Modi’s trip to Kashmir will be his first since Article 370 was repealed in 2019. Modi was scheduled to attend an official meeting on March 7 at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar, according to official sources. The Prime Minister visited Jammu last week, when he inaugurated the first electric train, spoke at a public assembly, and laid the groundwork for other projects totaling more than Rs 32,000 crore in J&K. Modi has made three trips to Jammu while serving as prime minister, but he has not made a single trip to Kashmir. In order to determine whether simultaneous assembly and parliamentary elections in Jammu and Kashmir are feasible, PM Modi’s travel to Kashmir is anticipated to take place before the ECI’s visit.
