NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Wednesday that a massive consignment of 3,132 kg of cocaine had been captured in a cooperative operation by the Narcotics Control Bureau, the Navy, and the Gujarat Police. The historic achievement, according to Shah, is evidence of the Modi administration's steadfast dedication to ridding the country of drugs. The home minister claimed in a post on X that the authorities have succeeded in making the largest-ever seizure of narcotics abroad in the country, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's goal of a drug-free Bharat.A massive shipment of 3132 kg of cocaine was found during a cooperative operation by the Gujarat Police, the NCB, and the Navy. J&K Police attaches illegal properties worth Rs 60 lakh of notorious drug peddlers in Baramulla

BARAMULLA: Police in Baramulla continued their campaign against drug dealers by attaching properties (a single-story residential home and a double-story shopping centre with two distinct restrooms, valued at approximately Rs. 60.00 lacs) that belonged to two well-known drug dealers, Mohd Ayoob Shah and Ghulam Mohammad Shah @ Gulshah, both sons of Abdul Khaliq who lived in Ladoora Rafiabad, District Baramulla. The case FIR No. 18/2024 u/s 8/21 NDPS Act of PS Baramulla is connected to the action, which was taken under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of the NDPS Act of 1985. During the police investigation and inquiry, the property was determined to have been unlawfully acquired. Primarily, the property was obtained from drug dealers' illegal trafficking in narcotics and psychotropic chemicals. The police's determination to fight the drug problem is reaffirmed by this operation. Jugal flags off Astha train to Ayodhya from Jammu

JAMMU: Jugal Kishore Sharma, a Lok Sabha member from Jammu, launched the third Astha train, which would carry thousands of pilgrims from Jammu to the holy city of Ayodhya to see Shri Ram Lalla. Speaking on the occasion, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that many people are travelling to Ayodhya in the wake of the Pran Pratishtha of Shri Ram Lalla because Prime Minister Narendra Modi's construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and the Pran Pratishtha of Idol Shri Ram on January 22, 2024, has fulfilled a dream that has been in their family for 500 years. He predicted that more people would travel to Ayodhya in the upcoming days and that more trains would probably depart from J&K.When the train from Jammu Railway Station headed towards Ayodhya, people were singing Jai Shri Ram slogans and were overcome with religious fervour. Speaking against the backdrop of the train's flagging off, Jugal stated that as J&K advances under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's direction, Jammu Railway Station will be built on the foundation of contemporary railway stations with new amenities for the populace.
