J&K Police attaches illegal properties worth Rs 60 lakh of notorious drug peddlers in Baramulla

BARAMULLA: Police in Baramulla continued their campaign against drug dealers by attaching properties (a single-story residential home and double-story shopping centre with two distinct restrooms, valued at approximately Rs. 60.00 lacs) that belonged to two well-known drug dealers, Mohd Ayoob Shah and Ghulam Mohammad Shah Gulshah, both sons of Abdul Khaliq who lived in Ladoora Rafiabad, District Baramulla. The case FIR No. 18/2024 u/s 8/21 NDPS Act of PS Baramulla is connected to the action, which was taken under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of the NDPS Act of 1985. During the police investigation and inquiry, the property was determined to have been unlawfully acquired. Primarily, the property was obtained from drug dealers’ illegal trafficking in narcotics and psychotropic chemicals. The police’s determination to fight the drug problem is reaffirmed by this operation. The local populace applauded the police initiative.
