Srinagar, Nov 26: The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Vidhi Kumar Birdi, held a thorough security review meeting on Sunday at the District Police Office in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, as part of a proactive effort to improve and ensure the security landscape in the area. ASP Hqrs Sgr, SP PC Srinagar, DIG CKR Sujit Kumar, SSP Srinagar Ashish Kumar Mishra, all Zonal SPs, and all GOs of district Srinagar were among the notable attendees at the meeting. Many important subjects related to the district’s security situation were discussed. IGP Kashmir emphasised the need for a thorough assessment of the district’s present security risks and difficulties.He gave the officers instructions to make sure law enforcement is ready to react to any security incidents quickly and efficiently. He emphasised how crucial it is for the various branches of law enforcement to work together seamlessly in order to improve the overall security apparatus.IGP Kashmir emphasised investigating methods to promote constructive interactions between law enforcement and the community, emphasising the development of cooperation and trust. In order to keep ahead of possible threats and criminal activity, he also emphasised the importance of fortifying the mechanisms for exchanging intelligence. The IGP Kashmir told the participating officers during their interaction that, in addition to caring for the weaker members of society, it is critical to strengthen security monitoring of all important establishments and locations in order to thwart the terrorists’ evil plans in Srinagar.In addition, he exhorted them to take all required steps to guarantee that Srinagar City remains peaceful. VK Birdi asked the Zonal SsP to take strong measures against elements like troublemakers and rumour mongers, as well as to closely monitor anti-national and anti-social elements. He emphasised that in order to maintain a calm environment in Srinagar City, they must be more watchful and proactive on the ground. Officers were instructed by IGP Kashmir to step up surveillance and take proactive measures to keep Srinagar peaceful and stable. He emphasised that the officers needed to maintain close supervision on the terrorist associates and take all legal action required against them.
