Huge Cache Of Arms Recovered Near LoC In Kupwara

SRINAGAR, Aug 18: The Army reported on Friday that security troops in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara area had discovered a sizable cache of weapons and ammunition close to the Line of Control (LoC).
The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army, which is based in Srinagar, posted on X, formerly Twitter, “Joint Operation launched by #IndianArmy, @BSF_Kashmir, and @JmuKmrPolice in #Machhal Sector #Kupwara from 15-18 Aug 23 based on Intelligence inputs by various agencies of likely presence of a cache of warlike stores.”
The Army reported finding a sizable stockpile of weapons and ammo, including five AK-47s, seven handguns, four hand grenades, and other potentially damaging items.
The search is ongoing, it continued.
