JAMMU: During a public grievance redressal camp held at the office of Sub Divisional Magistrate Jammu North, District Development Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya today called for increased societal cooperation in combating the drug menace. SHO Janipur actively participated in the delicate discussions about drug eradication that took place in the camp. The DDC emphasised the importance of working together: “Public support is critical to make the society truly drug-free, even as the administration is committed to cracking down on drug peddlers and creating awareness.” In addition to this important subject, the camp tackled several other public issues. Additionally, ex-municipal corporators raised awareness of important public needs by speaking out. Sachin Kumar Vaishya emphasised the significance of close citizen-administrator cooperation. “Change can sometimes be met with initial resistance, but united we can overcome any obstacle,” he said. “Every individual, whether from the administration or the public, can become a torchbearer for positive change.” Participating actively were locals from Durga Nagar, Muthi, Mishriwala, and other areas who voiced concerns about urban development, roads and infrastructure, and revenue issues. Executive engineers, other district officers, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Harbaksh Singh, Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh, and Chief Education Officer Jagdeep Padha were present at the camp.
