Dawood Ibrahim Hospitalised In Karachi After Suspected Poisoning: Reports

NEW DELHI, Dec 18: TV reports state that Dawood Ibrahim, the fugitive who masterminded the 1993 Mumbai blasts, has been admitted to a hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. It is said that he was poisoned. According to reports citing sources, Dawood has also been detained at the hospital under strict security. The neighbour of India denied the claims that the wanted criminal has been in Pakistan for decades, despite multiple reports claiming otherwise. His nephew also reported to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in January 2023 that he had remarried in Pakistan and was now residing in Karachi with his family.Over 250 people lost their lives and thousands more were injured as a result of the 1993 bombings. The NIA claims that Dawood, along with Anees, Chhota Shakeel, Javed Chikna, Tiger Memon, and others, is the leader of the global terrorist network known as D Company. The NIA further states that the syndicate is actively collaborating with LeT, Jaish, and Al Qaeda and is engaged in a variety of terrorist and criminal activities, including the smuggling of arms, narcoterrorism, money laundering, the circulation of FICN, and the unauthorised possession and acquisition of crucial assets for the purpose of raising terror funds.A cash reward of Rs 25 lakh has been announced by the NIA for information leading to the arrest of Dawood Ibrahim and other members of his international terror syndicate, D-Company. The NIA filed a case against Dawood Ibrahim and company in 2022. Cash rewards of Rs 20 lakh for Shakeel Shaikh, alias Chhota Shakeel, and Rs 15 lakh each for Haji Anees, alias Anees Ibrahim Shaikh, Javed Patel, alias Javed Chikna, and Ibrahim Mushtaq Abdul Razzaq Memon, alias Tiger Memon, were also announced by the NIA in exchange for information leading to the arrest of Dawood's four main associates.Dawood is listed as a "individual terrorist" under the Fourth Schedule of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967, and was designated a "global terrorist" by the UN under UNSC Resolution 1267. JKP train women in arms to join VDGs

DODA: A group of 250 women are being trained by the police in the Doda district to become Village Defence Guards (VDGs), which will enable them to stop terrorist activities in their communities. These rural women from the hilly district of Doda are receiving training in firearms and other fighting techniques in order to thwart the evil schemes of the peace enemy. "Motivated to play their roles in safeguarding their villages, these women came forward and opted for weapon training as over a dozen villagers were killed in Kulhand massacre by the terrorists in the year 2006," sources said. There are currently 875 VDGs with over 6000 members, of which only 4600 are compensated. Training in firing, area domination, and patrolling is provided to these VDG members. These VDG members, according to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda, are doing well and assisting law enforcement and other security agencies in monitoring anti-national elements. According to the SSP, the police have established firing ranges in Doda, Bhaderwah, and Gandoh where these VDG members receive regular training and practice firing. Area domination operations launched in Poonch, Rajouri

JAMMU: Area-wide dominance operations have been initiated in several locations within the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch with the aim of eliminating terrorists and their supporters, as well as locating their hiding places in forested areas, upper reaches, and other areas. BHUBANESWAR: Police have detained a resident of Kashmir who was posing as a Prime Minister Office (PMO) official, an Army doctor with specialised training, and a close friend of senior NIA officials. On Saturday, officials said that it was in Odisha. They said that a Special Task Force (STF) team of J&K police in Odisha, working with local authorities, apprehended the accused conman Sayed Ishaan Bukhari, also known as Ishaan Bukhari or Dr. Ishaan Bukhari, who had ties to certain anti-national elements. Additionally, it was discovered that he communicated with some Pakistani nationals as well as dubious individuals in Kerala.Originating from the border district of Kupwara in north Kashmir, Bukhari was posing as an Army physician, a PMO officer, and a close associate of several senior officials in the National Investigation Agency (NIA). They said that after his arrest, he was found in possession of forged documents, including a medical degree certificate from Cornel University of the USA, the Canadian Health Services Institute, and Christian Medical College Vellore. Furthermore, they claimed that phoney identification cards, visiting cards, ATM cards, blank checks, and Aadhar cards were also taken from him. It was discovered that the accused con artist had wed at least six women nationwide.Gujarati national Kiran Patel was apprehended by the police in March of this year after pretending to be a high-ranking PMO bureaucrat during his third visit to Kashmir. He was taken into custody from a five-star Srinagar hotel. Similar to Bukhari, Patel asserted that he was extremely intelligent, holding degrees in computer science (M-Tech), computer engineering (BE), and PhD from Commonwealth University in Virginia, as well as an MBA from IIM Trichy. During a raid on Saturday at Neulpur under Dharmshala, Police station of Jajpur district, a team of STF arrested one Sayed Ishaan Bukhari @ Ishaan Bukhari @ Dr Ishaan Bukhari (37), with the assistance of local police officials and in the presence of witnesses. Son of Sayed SaifeUddin Bukhari of Kupwara, Jammu & Kashmir, Sayed Ishan Bukhari currently resides in Neulapur under the Dharamshala Police station in the Jajpur district.With reference to Sections 66 C/66 D of the IT Act of 2000 and Sections 419/420/465/ 467/468/471/120(B) of the IPC, he was arrested for impersonation, cheating, forgery, and connections to anti-national elements. More than a hundred documents and other incriminating materials were taken during the raid. According to STF, the accused was discovered to be posing as an Army doctor, a neuro specialist doctor, an officer in the prime minister's office, and a close friend of a few senior NIA officials.He was found in possession of multiple forged documents, including medical degree certificates from Christian Medical College Vellore, Canadian Health Services Institute, and Cornel University of USA. From his possession, additional blank signed documents, bonds, affidavits, several identity cards, ATM cards, blank checks, Aadhar cards, and visiting cards were also taken. It was discovered that the accused had wed at least six women from different Indian states, including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Kashmir. He was also involved in romantic relationships with numerous girls while pretending to be a doctor with international degrees, and he was active on a number of websites and apps.During its investigation, the STF discovered that Bukhari had communication with some Pakistani nationals as well as dubious individuals in Kerala. In addition, Kashmir Police are looking for the accused in connection with a cheating and forgery case, and they have a non-bailable warrant out for his arrest. Intelligence Suggests 250 Militants Present At Launchpads Across Border, J&K Security On Alert: BSF

SRINAGAR, Dec 16: A senior BSF officer stated on Saturday that there are between 250 and 300 militants at launchpads across the border "waiting to infiltrate" Jammu and Kashmir. But the officer also said that security personnel were on guard and would stop any attempt at cross-border infiltration. Inspector General of the BSF Ashok Yadav told reporters in the south Kashmiri Pulwama district, "There are intelligence inputs that 250-300 militants are waiting at launchpads, but we and the Army have dominated all the vulnerable patches and are alert."He declared that the courageous soldiers of the Army and BSF were vigilant in the border regions and would thwart any attempt at infiltration. "We are certain that we can thwart any attempt at infiltration," Yadav stated. JAMMU, Dec 15: The J&K government today issued an order directing the Inspector Generals of Police Kashmir/Jammu Zones to exercise the authority granted to the UT under Section 7 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967, (37 of 1967), within their respective territorial jurisdictions. According to an order issued by Financial Commissioners (Additional Chief Secretary) Home RK Goyal, "the powers exercisable by the UT of Jammu and Kashmir under Section 8 of UAPA 1967 (37 of 1967) shall be exercised by the Divisional CommissionerKashmir /Jammu within their respective territorial jurisdictions." The Union Ministry of Home Affairs on behalf of the Central Government has approved the order. Residential house, JCB, Tractor of drug-peddler attached

POONCH: Under section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1985, J&K Police has attached a residential house, JCB, and tractor in Degwar, Terwan area near LoC in Poonch district. During a press conference, SSP Poonch Vinay Sharma stated that a residential house belonging to Shakar Din, son of Noor Din, who lives in Degwar Terwan in Tehsil Haveli in Poonch, was constructed on land bearing khasra number 400. This house was attached in a case under FIR number 42/2023 Under Sections 8/21/22/25/27A/29/60 NDPS Act. Additionally, JCB 3DX, registered under the number JK12B-6168, and a Mahindra Tractor, registered under the number JK12C 4438, belonging to Mohd Yaseen, son of Saif Din, who lives in Degwar Terwan, were attached via FIR number 77/2023 Under Sections 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act, 13/18 UAPA Act, and 4/5 Explosives Act.It is important to note that the J&K Police attached the residential house and the JCB tractor in the presence of the Executive Magistrates, Tehsildar Haveli Anjum Bashir Khatak and Naib Tehsildar Haveli Maroof Khan. The Senior Superintendent of Police went on to say that we have begun to freeze the properties of drug dealers and peddlers. This is our first instance of doing so in Poonch, where we have attached a residential house, JCB, and tractor valued at Rs 87.86 lakh in the Degwar-Terwan area of Poonch. A few days prior, we had attached a double-story residential house, two personnel vehicles, an ALto, and a Tata Mobile in Surankote. He stated that more properties have been identified in these cases and that Poonch police will continue to take action against drug dealers and peddlers. This year, they have filed 47 First Information Reports under the NDPS Act, arrested 83 people, and recovered 87 kg of heroin. As far as property seizures are concerned, we've seen that apprehending drug dealers or peddlers is insufficient. We therefore began attaching their properties, for which they carry out this kind of labour. We retrieved 24 kg of heroin and 15 lakh in cash from the two property owners who are currently facing legal action. This is comparable to the Mendhar case, where major drug dealers were involved, and it also answers the question of why real mafias avoid the police's grasp," the speaker continued.
