POONCH: During a search and cordon operation on Saturday in the Poonch region of Jammu and Kashmir, security officers discovered a bag containing a weapon and some ammunition, according to officials. According to the officials, the operation was jointly carried out by the police and the amy in the Mendhar sector’s Dhargloon area after receiving particular input. According to them, a bag was found lying close to a natural cave, and after it was searched, a 9-mm pistol with a magazine and nine rounds, 159 bullets from an AK assault rifle, one pouch, one dress, one pair of black trousers and a waterproof suit were found inside. However, according to the authorities, nobody was detained in relation to the retrieval.
