ADGP Mukesh Singh oversees security at Yatri Niwas for ongoing Amarnath Yatra

JAMMU: ADGP Jammu on Sunday visited Ramban district and took stock of security at the transit camp in the Banihal area and en-route NH in the district for the on-going Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, 2023.According to a formal statement, the major goal of the visit was to perform an on-site assessment of the security plans put in place by the relevant district administration to ensure that the two-month-long yatra would go without incident. The statement stated that “threadbare discussions were held during the security review on various security elements at different places of deployment, i.e. Langer security, Lodgment centres security, route deployment, ROP and area domination, etc., from Udhampur to Jawhar Tunnel.” According to the announcement, the ADGP also urged the supervisory officers to see to it that the manpower who had been designated for these crucial tasks was personally informed by them on the nature and significance of the tasks they would be performing in the areas with mountainous terrain. In order to prevent any difficulty for the pilgrims travelling from all over the nation, Mukesh Singh urged the officers of the police, Army, CPF, intelligence services, and civil administration to work closely in coordination. Along with that, he went over the additional security measures being implemented at the National Highway. Along with the traffic wing officials, he also spoke about the National Highway‘s traffic management. DIG DKR Range Sunil Gupta, SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma, DIG Traffic Range Jammu Shridhar Patil, and other top police officers accompanied the ADGP Jammu.
