House of Hizbul terrorist searched in Kishtwar

JAMMU: J&K Police Special Operations Group on Saturday searched the house of a terrorist belonging to proscribed terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen in Kishtwar district, a senior official said. Kishtwar’s senior superintendent of police, Khalil Ahmad Poswal, claims that a search warrant was obtained from the NIA court in Jammu. The home of Hizbul terrorist Muddasir Ahmad in the Dachhan hamlet of Tander was searched in connection with a case that was filed last year under various provisions of the Explosive Substances Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.According to the SSP, the evidence found during the search would be reviewed to determine whether the accused had engaged in anti-national actions or supported terrorism. The officer declared that all terrorists’ associates who were discovered to be participating in the probe will face legal action. Poswal urged people to alert police about the presence of anti-national groups while guaranteeing them that the informant would receive a commensurate reward and that his identity would be kept a secret.
