JAMMU, Aug 28: According to union minister B L Verma, the government has given employment offers to 5.5 lakh young people since last October and hopes to give out 10 lakh by year’s end. Out of a total of 1,000 candidates chosen for various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), including the BSF, CRPF, CISF, SSB, and ITBP, Verma presented appointment letters to 250 during a Rozgar mela at the Border Security Force (BSF) headquarters here.This morning, Modi handed out almost 51,000 appointment letters to the young people who had gathered from 45 different sites around the nation, most of whom were in the security services.
Verma stated that this Rozgar Mela initiative is a part of the government’s attempts to reduce unemployment in the nation while distributing job letters during the event.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi pledged in October 2022 that 10 lakh jobs will be supplied to young people by December 2023. We have now given job letters to 5.5 lakh young people, according to the Union Minister of State for Northeastern Development.The prime minister will fulfil his promises to this nation’s youth, he continued, in the days to come.
At the event, BSF representatives stated that this recruiting drive will considerably benefit the nation’s security forces in conducting their operations more successfully and efficiently while also improving the management of a wide range of security responsibilities throughout the entire nation.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is filling positions in a number of CAPFs, including the Delhi Police, CRPF, BSF, SSB, Assam Rifles, CISF, ITBP, and Narcotics Control Bureau, through this Rozgar Mela event, according to the officials.According to them, the MHA has filled about one lakh positions through mission recruitment, of which about 87,000 vacancies have been filled in CAPFs.
