ROURKELA, Feb 6: On Tuesday, the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, led by Rahul Gandhi, is expected to arrive in Odisha. Gandhi banners, cutouts, and hoardings have been put up at Biramitrapur, a tiny industrial town in the Sundergarh district via which the yatra will enter the state from Jharkhand. Rashmi Padhee, the party’s Sundergarh district president, stated that senior state Congress leaders have gathered in Rourkela steel city, about 35 km from Biramitrapur, and there is a noticeable excitement among the populace to see Rahul Gandhi, who is known to the locals as “former PM Indira Gandhi’s grandson.” Though the BJP curreIn the afternoon, Gandhi is anticipated to arrive in Biramitrapur. The state Congress will lead the yatra after extending a hearty welcome to him. It will travel around 10 km before coming to a stop at night in the Bija Bahal region. Gandhi will continue his yatra the next day, according to a statement from the Congress. He will walk 3.4 kilometres from Uditnagar to Panposh Chhak in Rourkela city. According to the statement, he would speak to the public at Panposh Chhak before stopping for lunch at Bisra Munda Ground in Ranibandh. He is scheduled to resume his yatra from Ranibandh and give a speech at a gathering in Rajgangpur following that.He is scheduled to embark on an additional padayatra in Sundergarh town, address a subsequent public gathering, and spend the night at Amlipali Ground in Jharsuguda. Gandhi will start his yatra anew on February 8 at Jharsuguda’s Old Bus Stand and thereafter speak at a gathering. He is going to resume his yatra from Jharsuguda’s Kanaktora after lunch, and he will then enter Chhattisgarh. The yatra in Odisha would travel around 200 kilometres via the districts of Sundergarh and Jharsuguda in the west.
