ED Officials Reach Jharkhand CM Soren’s Residence To Question Him In Money Laundering Case

RANCHI, Jan 20: Chief Minister Hemant Soren was questioned by Enforcement Directorate (ED) agents on Saturday at his home in this city under heavy security as part of money laundering investigation related to purported land fraud. The 48-year-old Soren, who also serves as the executive president of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), the ruling party, had previously ignored seven ED summonses. After the investigation agency called him for the eighth time, he eventually agreed. Around 1:00 pm, the ED investigators arrived at Soren’s house, and an official announced that questioning would shortly begin. He stated that the CISF, which is in charge of the ED officials’ protection, is monitoring activity surrounding Soren’s house with high-resolution body cameras.
