SRINAGAR: A police spokesman said that the NIA court in Kulgam district on Friday issued proclamation orders against two active terrorists.According to him, the notice was issued by the Special Court Kulgam in connection with a FIR that was filed at the Qaimoh police station in the south Kashmir district. The court has given these terrorists a chance to surrender before it, the investigating agency, or the police station by or before September 15, 2023, the spokesman added. This is before further legal action is taken against them.He claimed that proclamation orders had been issued against the terrorists Yawar Bashir Dar, a resident of Redwani Balla, and Irfan Yaqoob Lone, a resident of Hawoora, at the request of the Special Investigation Unit (SIU), Kashmir. The court had already issued open-ended non-bailable warrants (NBW) against these terrorists before issuing the proclamation. The spokesman stated that copies of proclamations were put in conspicuous areas of their residential homes and villages as well as being read aloud in conspicuous places of their original villages today.According to him, correct SOPs were followed while the SIU Kashmir teams, local police, and magistrates travelled to their home villages in Kulgam to carry out proclamation orders.
