SIA raids underway in Poonch in connection with narco-terrorism

POONCH: Officials said that The SIA on Saturday conducted raids at several places in connection with a narco-terrorism case in Poonch district. Four locations in the border district’s Mandi Tehsil are still the target of raids, according to the officials. They claimed that the case included known drug dealer Rafiq Lala, a Sathra resident who was apprehended in January of this year in accordance with the Public Safety Act (PSA). In order to question him about his alleged connections across the border, the SIA placed him on remand as of July 1. On March 3, Lala’s home was raided and seven kilogrammes of heroin, more over Rs 2 crore in cash, a revolver, and some ammo were found.
