Rain continue in J&K, MeT predicts more

SRINAGAR : Rains continue in Jammu and Kashmir, though weatherman has predicted fairly widespread rain during the next 24 hours on Sunday. On July 24 and 25, a meteorological department official predicted partly to mostly cloudy weather. No significant change is anticipated from July 26 to July 28. He said that compared to Srinagar, these cities had seen greater rainfall in the previous 24 hours: Qazigund (22.3mm), Pahalgam (17.4mm), Kupwara (4.5mm), Kokernag (2.8mm), Gulmarg (19.4mm), Jammu (1.2mm), Banihal (4.2mm), Katra (48mm), Bhaderwah (1.8mm), and Batote (19.3mm). According to him, the lowest recorded temperatures today were 19.3°C in Srinagar, 18.9°C in Qazigund, 13.9°C in Pahalgam, 17.0°C in Kupwara, 17.1°C in Kokernag, and 11.0°C in Gulmarg, while the highest recorded temperatures were 24.5°C in Jammu, 17.6°C in Banihal, 18.0°C in Batote, 21.2°C in Katra and 18.7°C in Bhaderwah.
