SRINAGAR: Although the Valley’s nighttime low has dropped, it is still below freezing in all of Kashmir’s stations. The capital of Jammu and Kashmir during the summer, Srinagar, recorded a low of minus 1.5 degrees Celsius. The temperature dropped to minus 2.6 degrees Celsius in Qazigund and minus 2.3 degrees Celsius in Kokernag. The north Kashmiri town of Kupwara recorded a low of minus 2.4 degrees Celsius. Pahalgam is freezing at minus 1.5 degrees Celsius, while Gulmarg’s temperature has dropped to minus 3.5 degrees.
