NH144A Widening Project: DDC Rajouri inspects South Point of 700-meter tunnel at Nowshera

RAJOURI: Today, Rajouri Om Prakash Bhagat, the District Development Commissioner, paid visit to the South Point of the 700-meter tunnel that is now under construction at Nowshera as part of the NH144A Package V. The NH144A widening project is significant step towards the district’s growth and, by enhancing connectivity, will give the local economy much-needed boost. The Rajouri community will gain lot from the tunnel, including shorter travel times, increased security, and more effective transit system. During his visit, the DDC also spoke with the people, assuring them that the government is dedicated to ensuring the project is completed quickly, offering the essential benefits to the general public in terms of connectivity, and that the best possible efforts are being taken in this respect.Additionally, he requested that the involved officers continue to maintain interdepartmental collaboration in order to finish the project within the allotted time frame and provide the public with the benefits that are required. The DDC also issued directives to uphold work quality and issued warning against any negligence in this area. ADC Nowshera, Kartar Singh; AC Defence, Saleem Quershi; Tehsildar Nowshera; and relevant BRO officers accompanied the Deputy Commissioner on his visit.
