SRINAGAR: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ram Madhav Wednesday said that the oldest parties in Jammu and Kashmir, JKNC and PDP are employing ex-terrorists to contest the upcoming Assembly elections in the region.
Speaking to media in Khanmo area of Srinagar where he was accompanying BJP leader filing his nomination papers, Madhav said that this election, which is being held after a long time, “will be a historic one.”
He said, he hopes that parties that have made the people of Jammu and Kashmir suffer for over three-decades will be dethroned, humiliated. Madhav was referring to JKNC and PDP.
People will give mandate to new parties and new leaders, who he said prefer peace and development.
“A new legislature and a new government is being formed in the Union Territory and our party will be forming the government with huge numbers,” Madhav said.
He claimed that the youth of J&K is coming forward in huge numbers to take part in the elections and they will free the region from the dynast politicians.
Regarding unexpected people filing their nominations for the elections, Madhav said that anyone is welcomed to fight the elections, except terrorists and ex-terrorists.”
Ram Madhav is said to be the key man for Modi-led BJP who pushed the party to victory in 2014 in J&K.
Earlier this week, reports circulated that Madhav has again been assigned the task to ensure victory for BJP.
