SRINAGAR: Parliamentarian from north Kashmir and Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) chief Er Rashid Wednesday said that he is “coming to Kashmir to unite people and not to divide.” Rashid was speaking to media outside Tihar jail where he was lodged since 2019. When asked about Omar Abdullah’s allegations against him being a proxy of the BJP, Rashid said that his “fight is bigger than what Omar Abdullah says.” He said, “My fight is bigger than the chair.” Rashid also said that there are dozens of Kashmiri inmates in Tihar who require medical attention.
