Mughal Road Closed Due To Fresh Snowfall

POONCH, Dec 16: Due to new snowfall on Saturday, the Mughal Road—which links the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch with the Shopian district of Kashmir Valley—was closed, according to officials. They claimed that there had been recent snowfall at number of locations along the route, including “Pir Ki Gali,” which had caused the road to close. The closure of the road was confirmed by DySP PC Surankote Hamid Ali Bandey. The road, which is thought of as substitute for the Jammu-Srinagar Highway, was closed multiple times earlier this year because of snowfallespecially in “Pir KiGali” and the surrounding areas.
