JAMMU: Today, Panchayat Dhok Waziran in Nagrota hosted the “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,” which Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended. The Lieutenant Governor expressed gratitude to the PRI representatives and attendees for their enthusiastic involvement. He asked them to make contact with as many families as possible, spread the word about government programmes, and promote the enrollment of potential recipients. In order to create model villages in a comprehensive manner for better livelihood possibilities, an enhanced quality of life, and action-oriented Jan-Bhagidari for a happy, prosperous, and peaceful Panchayat, he highlighted the necessity of copying the best practises of Panchayat Dhok Waziran.“Reaching out to the unreached and achieving 100% saturation of government schemes are priorities for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to the Lieutenant Governor, “it offers rural and urban areas a significant opportunity to ensure that the common man and vulnerable section is empowered.” He asked people to spread the word about the schemes, take use of the on-the-spot assistance being offered, and actively engage in the “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.” According to him, individual success stories need to touch every region of UT in order to demonstrate the changes the government’s main programmes have brought about in their lives.“Through integrated action and involvement of every individual we can turn the villages into viable, sustainable economic centres and create opportunities for youth, women, farmers and vulnerable section to accomplish the vision of Viksit Bharat,” stated the Lieutenant Governor. The Lieutenant Governor emphasised the J&K Government’s efforts to guarantee that the underprivileged and weaker segments of society receive the benefits of welfare programmes. Under PMAY (G), the UT administration is giving 5 Marla of land to impoverished landless beneficiaries. According to him, this will eliminate current societal inequalities, improve the standard of living for impoverished and vulnerable landless households, and promote their social and economic development.Along with sharing their personal stories, Panchayat recipients Raman Wazir, Sarpanch Dhok Waziran, and others thanked the administration for extending benefits under various government programmes. The Lieutenant Governor paid a visit to the several departmental booths, observed a drone demonstration, and granted registration certificates to the newly established Farmer Producers Organisation members. On this occasion, the “Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat” vow was also given out. Senior officers, PRI members, and a sizable crowd were in attendance, along with Bharat Bhushan, Chairman of the District Development Council of Jammu; Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner of Jammu; Dr Piyush Singla, Secretary of Revenue; Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Deputy Commissioner of Jammu; and Shakti Pathak, DIG of Jammu -Samba -Kathua Range.
