JAMMU: The Srinagar–Jammu route will stay closed on Tuesday so that the road can be fully repaired, according to the traffic Police authorities’ announcement on Monday. The UT Administration and NHAI worked together throughout the day, according to a statement from the Police, and their combined efforts significantly improved the condition of the roads.“However, it will likely take some more time to restore everything completely. Therefore, the UT Administration has decided to maintain the National Highway-44 traffic suspension for tomorrow as well, which is Tuesday, July 11, 2023,” it said. It is recommended for Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) to travel on the Mughal Road from Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa. It stated that traffic is likely to resume on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, but that the next report would be released tomorrow night.
