JAMMU: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, visited border areas hit by Pakistani shelling alongside Inspector General of Police for Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, to examine property losses. The Div Com and IGP were joined by Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya of Jammu, SSP Vinod Kumar of Jammu, S.P. Headquarters’ Ramnish Gupta, SDM R.S. Pura, and other relevant officers. Locals, PRI members, and DDC member Suchetgarh, Taranjeet Singh Tony, were also present for the event. In the village of Bhulla Chak, the Div Com and IGP spoke with the impacted families and evaluated the damages brought on by the shelling. Following a thorough assessment of the losses, the Div Com directed Deputy Commissioner Jammu to provide relief to the victims.At Bhulla Chak and Treva, the Div Com and IGP spoke with PRI members and locals living along the boundary. They wanted to know what the border people needed to grow and what other problems they were facing. The individuals brought up a number of concerns, such as the need for more bunkers, the need to finish ongoing development projects early, the need to build bridges and monitor the incursion of water bodies, and other relevant matters. Following a patient hearing, the Div Com and IGP gave Deputy Commissioner Jammu instructions to personally follow up on the concerns brought up by the border people and promptly rectify them. Locals were reassured by the Div Com that the government is dedicated to offering border residents all the assistance they need.
