Farooq Bats For India-Pak Dialogue Claims J&K Could Become ‘Gaza’ Without Dialogue

Srinagar, Dec 26: Farooq Abdullah, the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, issued a warning on Tuesday, saying that in the "absence" of political dialogue, the Union Territory would suffer the same fate as Gaza, which is at war with Israel. Additionally, he exhorted the leaders of Pakistan and India to engage in dialogue in order to resolve their bilateral problems. The President of the National Conference quoted the former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, saying, "We can change our friends, but we cannot change our neighbours." Plane Grounded In France Over Human Trafficking Lands In Mumbai

MUMBAI, Dec 26: Early on December 26, a charter plane carrying 276 people—mostly Indians—landed in Mumbai. The aircraft had been grounded in France for four days due to suspicions of human trafficking, according to an official. According to the official, the aircraft, an Airbus A340, touched down in Mumbai just after 4 a.m. At 2:30 p.m. local time, it had taken off from the Vatry airport, which is close to Paris. Authorities in France claim that when the aircraft departed for Mumbai, it carried 276 passengers because 25 people—two of whom were minors—had declared their intention to seek for asylum while they were still in France. According to a French news channel, two more people were detained, produced before a judge, released, and given the status of assisted witnesses.There were 303 Indian passengers on board the aircraft when it landed at Vatry airport, including 11 unaccompanied minors, according to a local official. The stranded passengers were given access to meals and hot beverages in the Vatry airport hall, as well as makeshift beds and restrooms and showers, according to the official. On December 21, while making a technical stopover en route from Dubai, the flight, operated by Romanian charter company Legend Airlines and headed for Nicaragua, had landed at Vatry when French police intervened.The conditions and intent of the trip were the subject of a judicial investigation by French authorities, who assigned an organised crime unit to look into possible human trafficking. Dec -21 : Around 11 am. on Thursday, the microblogging platform X, formerly known as Twitter, experienced a technical issue. Instead of the standard tweets on the feed, "Welcome to your timeline" was displayed on the website and in the mobile application. It appears that users were unable to access the platform due to a significant outage. Over seventy thousand people have reported being unable to use the platform, according to Downdetector. Furthermore, the cause of this problem is unknown at this time. Many users flocked to Facebook to voice their concerns after the outage. A user named Samuel Oseremen Imoisili wrote, "Please, who uses X/twitter, seems the app is not working or someone should help me confirm.""Myself and other Twitter users are holding onto (going back to) Facebook. Tony Thee Goon, a different Facebook user who also shared a meme, wrote, "Since our app is down." The outage that X is experiencing is not new. JAMMU, Dec 19: Police said on Tuesday that as part of a special effort to monitor the activities of foreign nationals, they have filed three First Information Reports (FIRs) against nine Rohingyas and one Bangladeshi national for obtaining Indian identity documents—such as domicile certificates, Aadhaar cards, voter ID cards, PAN cards, and so on—illegally and for residing in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. Police provided details, saying that following a thorough and discrete investigation into the illegal stays of foreigners (Bangladesh and Rohingyas) at different points in this district, a case has been filed under applicable legal provisions against the accused individuals, who are all residents of Myanmar and include Raheela Begum, Shakeela Begum, Jahan Ara, Meem Bano, and Muskan Banoo.Similar to this, a case against Rohingyas and their facilitators—Zavaira Begum, Shabnam Begum, Noor Bhar, and Zeenat Begum—all Myanmar residents, has been filed at the Gandoh police station in accordance with pertinent legal provisions. "After a thorough investigation, it was determined that these Rohingyas had entered the Doda district and had obtained Indian identity documents illegally in order to reveal their identity as long-term residents of the Doda district," the police stated. Additionally, a case has been filed against Nusrat Jahan, a resident of Dhaka who is of Bangladeshi nationality, and her accomplices for obtaining Indian identity documents and overstaying or violating visa regulations. "Police carried out house searches as part of an ongoing investigation and found incriminating materials, which are seized as evidence," the police stated.It is important to note that an investigation into each of these cases has been started in order to identify the government workers and facilitators who gave these foreigners Indian identity documents and other assistance so that those responsible could be held accountable. NEW DELHI, Dec 18: TV reports state that Dawood Ibrahim, the fugitive who masterminded the 1993 Mumbai blasts, has been admitted to a hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. It is said that he was poisoned. According to reports citing sources, Dawood has also been detained at the hospital under strict security. The neighbour of India denied the claims that the wanted criminal has been in Pakistan for decades, despite multiple reports claiming otherwise. His nephew also reported to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in January 2023 that he had remarried in Pakistan and was now residing in Karachi with his family.Over 250 people lost their lives and thousands more were injured as a result of the 1993 bombings. The NIA claims that Dawood, along with Anees, Chhota Shakeel, Javed Chikna, Tiger Memon, and others, is the leader of the global terrorist network known as D Company. The NIA further states that the syndicate is actively collaborating with LeT, Jaish, and Al Qaeda and is engaged in a variety of terrorist and criminal activities, including the smuggling of arms, narcoterrorism, money laundering, the circulation of FICN, and the unauthorised possession and acquisition of crucial assets for the purpose of raising terror funds.A cash reward of Rs 25 lakh has been announced by the NIA for information leading to the arrest of Dawood Ibrahim and other members of his international terror syndicate, D-Company. The NIA filed a case against Dawood Ibrahim and company in 2022. Cash rewards of Rs 20 lakh for Shakeel Shaikh, alias Chhota Shakeel, and Rs 15 lakh each for Haji Anees, alias Anees Ibrahim Shaikh, Javed Patel, alias Javed Chikna, and Ibrahim Mushtaq Abdul Razzaq Memon, alias Tiger Memon, were also announced by the NIA in exchange for information leading to the arrest of Dawood's four main associates.Dawood is listed as a "individual terrorist" under the Fourth Schedule of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967, and was designated a "global terrorist" by the UN under UNSC Resolution 1267. SRINAGAR, Dec 16: A senior BSF officer stated on Saturday that there are between 250 and 300 militants at launchpads across the border "waiting to infiltrate" Jammu and Kashmir.
