NEW DELHI, Oct 1: On Sunday, the price of jet fuel, or ATF, was increased by 5%, marking the fourth consecutive monthly increase since July. In addition, the cost of commercial cooking gas, or LPG, was sharply increased by Rs 209 per 19-kg cylinder, in keeping with the firming up of international benchmarks. However, the cost of residential LPG, which is used to cook in domestic kitchens, remained constant at Rs 903 per 14.2-kg cylinder. According to a price statement from state-owned fuel dealers, the price of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) increased by Rs 5,779.84 per kilolitre, or 5.1%, in the national capital to Rs 118,199.17 per kl from Rs 112,419.33.The hike follows the largest increase ever of 14.1% (Rs 13,911.07 per kilo) on September 1 and an increase of 8.5% (Rs 7,728.07 per kilo) on August 1. The burden on already struggling airlines will grow as a result of the fourth consecutive increase in jet fuel prices, which account for 40% of an airline's operating expenses. ATF price increased by 1.65% or Rs 1,476.79 per litre on July 1. They were lured into investing amounts between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 10,000. After investing, customers would be guaranteed daily profits of between Rs 1,000 and Rs 5,000. The stakes rose gradually as more people invested and confidence was established, and victims contributed thousands and even crores of rupees. These monies were subsequently put into various Bengaluru bank accounts. The money was then transferred into international bank accounts, where it was used to buy bitcoin for the cybercriminal gang controlling the bank accounts.The foreign group would then make various investments in foreign businesses with these cash. Law enforcement organisations seized computers, mobile phones, laptops, bank account information, credit cards, debit cards, swipe machines, SIM cards, printers, and chequebooks as part of the operation. Additionally, the CCB police have frozen Rs 5 crore in the accused's bank accounts. Joint security team foils infiltration bid along LoC, kills 2 terrorists

KUPWARA: In a combined operation with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Indian forces killed two terrorists while thwarting an infiltration attempt in the Machil sector of the Kupwara district, the Army announced in a statement on Saturday night. After the intelligence-based operation, the forces conducted a sweep of the area and found the bodies of the two terrorists. In addition, two AK series rifles and ammo were also found at the scene, according to the Army. Rail traffic resumes in Jammu after farmers end protest

JAMMU: After protesting Punjab farmers ended their three-day strike on Saturday evening, train service was resumed at the Jammu Railway Station, a senior railway official reported. Hundreds of passengers, including Vaishno Devi pilgrims who were stuck at Jammu and Katra railway stations due to the farmers' strike, were greatly relieved when rail operations resumed. New Delhi: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said in a statement today that the deadline to convert rupees two thousand notes at banks has been extended till October 7. The 2,000 note will continue to be legal tender after the exchange deadline has passed, according to the RBI. Yesterday was the previous deadline. Beginning on October 8, banks will no longer accept 2,000 rupee notes for exchange. However, there are 19 RBI offices where consumers can still exchange up to 2,000 notes. India Post is able to mail the notes to the RBI's "issue offices" as well. According to the RBI, it has received 2,000 notes totaling 3.42 trillion rupees out of a total of 3.56 trillion rupees in circulation as of May 19. As a result, as of September 29 there were only 2,000-rupee notes worth 0.14 lakh crore in circulation. NIA Conducts Raids at LeT OGW’S premises in Poonch in Dhangri Terror Attack case

New Delhi : In connection with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) attack in Dhangri village of Rajouri district, in which five civilians were killed and several others suffered serious injuries in January of this year, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at the homes of several suspects on Saturday in Poonch district of Jammu & Kashmir.Today, five places in the Mendhar Tehsil of the Poonch district's Gursai hamlet were the target of raids. The properties, which were the homes of Overground Workers (OGWs) connected to the LeT, a designated terrorist organisation, were thoroughly searched by NIA teams. In order to uncover the conspiracy, a number of digital devices and documents containing incriminating data and content have been seized and are being carefully examined.On August 31, 2023, the NIA detained two suspects in connection with case (RC-01/2023/NIA/JMU), Nisar Ahmed @Haji Nisar and Mushtaq Hussain. JAMMU: Police in Jammu District asserted that by apprehending two locals and two residents of Uttar Pradesh, all 11 unsolved cases of chain snatching that had been filed within the jurisdiction of the Jammu South and Jammu North sectors, respectively, had been conclusively resolved.
