KISHTWAR: In a remarkable display of efficiency and dedication, the 118 RCC (BRO) successfully restored the damaged bridge on Sohal Nallah at Paddar here within a remarkably short span of time.Due to the dedicated work of BRO staff, who began the bridge restoration work on the previous night itself, the bridge, which had sustained significant damage as a result of a landslide brought on by persistent rain, was promptly repaired. Yesterday’s landslip caused a large boulder to roll over the belly bridge over Sohal Nallah in Paddar, seriously injuring a large piece of the bridge and creating an immediate difficulty for commuters and pilgrims on the Mindal Mata Yatra. The 118 RCC BRO acted quickly after learning of the incident and dispatched skilled workers, cutting-edge equipment, and expertise to the scene. They toiled tirelessly to repair the damaged bridge and ensure the prompt resume of vehicular movement towards the Tiyari, Ishtiyari, and Sansari areas. The BRO staff prioritised the restoration work since they understood how critical the situation was and how the damage to the bridge would affect over 50 communities that were cut off. According to a handout from BRO, the destroyed bridge caused a substantial interruption in the flow of traffic, impacting both local commuters and pilgrims on the famed Mindal Mata pilgrimage. The inconvenience experienced by the affected villages and the pilgrims was greatly reduced by the prompt and efficient restoration efforts by 118 RCC BRO, demonstrating BRO’s dedication to serve the public with speed and dedication.
