Kupwara, Dec 1 : An avalanche warning for the next 24 hours has been issued in JK’s Kupwara by the Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA). Over the following 24 hours, an avalanche with a low hazard level is predicted by the authorities to occur above 2800 metres above sea level over the Kupwara district. According to JKDMA, “over the next 24 hours, an avalanche with a low danger level is likely to occur above 2,800 metres above sea level over Kupwara district.”In addition, the authorities urged the locals to exercise caution and wait for further directives before entering any avalanche-prone locations. The authority went on, “People residing in these areas are advised to exercise caution and refrain from entering the avalanche-prone areas until further orders.”
